- A human review workflow defines the workforce, review UI/task template, and conditions that start review.
- A human loop is one review instance for a prediction.
- Integrates with services and custom workflows such as Amazon Textract, Rekognition, Comprehend, Transcribe, Translate, and SageMaker-hosted models.
- Use A2I for human validation during inference. Use SageMaker Ground Truth to label data for training.
- Human review helps manage uncertainty and high-impact decisions but requires clear reviewers, instructions, privacy controls, quality measurement, and escalation.
- Current status: A2I stopped accepting new customers on July 30, 2026. Existing customers can continue, but AWS plans no new features.
