AWS Migration Hub
AWS Migration Hub was a service of Amazon Web Services that provided a single place to discover, plan, and track migrations across multiple AWS and partner migration tools. AWS closed Migration Hub to new customers as of November 7, 2025; existing customers can continue running in-flight projects, but AWS now directs new migration work to AWS Transform, its newer agentic migration service.

Existing customers can continue using it to complete ongoing migration projects, with security updates but no new features; AWS Transform (launched May 2025) is the recommended alternative and carries forward all of Migration Hub’s capabilities, including Strategy Recommendations, EC2 Instance Recommendations, Migration Hub Journeys, and Orchestrator.
- No data migration is required to move to AWS Transform — existing Migration Hub projects keep running until completion, and new projects can simply start directly in AWS Transform.
- When active, it aggregated discovery data collected by AWS Application Discovery Service (servers, dependencies, utilization) to support migration planning and grouping servers into applications for tracking as a unit.
- Tracked migration progress reported by tools including AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and AWS Transform MGN (formerly AWS Application Migration Service), plus third-party migration tools, from a single dashboard rather than checking each tool separately.
- Application Discovery Service itself was also closed to new customers on the same date, November 7, 2025, for the same reason — both point tools are being consolidated into AWS Transform.
